If you didn't know, our features can heavily depend on what makeup look you choose! Makeup artists often guide you to what techniques and looks will work best for your features, such as skin tone, type, eyeshapes, face structures - the lot! We assess your features and determine what techniques and styles will enhance them.
DRAMATIC MAKEUP STYLES
If you have darker features, deep-set eyes, and fuller brows, you can probably suit a more dramatic look without it being too much for your face. These features tend to marry in with a more dramatic, darker glam like smokey eyes, full brows, and liner.
SOFT & NATURAL MAKEUP STYLES
If you have lighter features, I lean towards a lighter-medium glam that won’t be too contrasting or heavy. I prefer a less structured brow and lighter shadows for those with light features, as too much contrast can look very stark.
INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES
Hooded lids, eye shapes, face structures, etc., also play another element in what makeup suits you. I usually avoid liner for hooded eyelids or apply a brown shadow to avoid creasing - the lid is mobile, and with hooded eyes, this can make the liner disappear. Similarly, for those with really good skin, I would use less coverage than those who may need more! The list goes on..
